The Peer Tutoring Resource Center thanks the National Secondary Transition Technical Assistance Center (NSTTAC) for its recent donation to our resource library. This latest addition to the library is a Math lesson plan that teaches money skills using the next-dollar strategy and reciprocal peer tutoring techniques.

This lesson plan along with the other materials and tools in the resource library have been carefully selected to help you with your peer tutoring programs. Some of these resources are donations made by teachers who use peer tutoring as an instructional strategy - for example, here is a Grade K-5 fluency lesson plan submitted by Janie Naranjo-Hall of Brookfield Elementary School, California. Other resources are donations made by academic programs that employ peer tutoring techniques. One such program is the Aspire Education Project Community Reading Buddies Program in which high school students are recruited as volunteer mentors to engage preschoolers in literacy building activities. Here are some resource donations from Aspire Education Project:

Another program we’ve received peer tutoring resource donations from is the East Bay Asian Youth Center, Oakland CA. The following EBAYC resources can provide ideas on how to design your own tutor recruitment and evaluation documents:

For additional peer tutoring materials, visit our resource library which contains lesson plans, guides to help you plan and design your own peer tutoring program, tutor training and evaluation forms, peer tutoring program evaluation materials and more.

If you can’t find what you need, we’ll do our very best to source it for you. Let us know what it is in the comments section below or send your request to info@peertutoringresource.org. Also, we’d love to hear your feedback on any of this site’s resources.
