We are pleased to officially announce the winners of our first giveaway contest! We launched the contest to commemorate the 2nd anniversary of this peer tutoring resource website and to acknowledge the work of the peer tutoring practitioners among you k-12 educators. Winners were selected and contacted last December (2015) and have since redeemed their prizes.
As you may already know, peer tutoring is an evidence based practice and cooperative learning strategy with a number of academic as well as social-emotional benefits to the tutor and tutee. This website was created as an online resource for educators who want to include peer tutoring strategies in their teaching toolkit. It’s been encouraging to observe a steady increase in the use of this site's resources and to receive feedback from educators.
The PTRC wishes to thank all who participated in our first giveaway contest. In reviewing all of the great responses, we couldn't help but notice how dedicated you all are to your profession making it even more challenging to select winners. We have great admiration for all you do as educators and we’re honored to be able to serve you in this capacity as a one-stop resource for k-12 peer tutoring and related topics. And so, without further ado here are the winners of the PTRC 2nd Anniversary Giveaway, CONGRATULATIONS!
Melissa Roller sent in a photo with her prize, thank you!
